An outdoor escape game played on the Cities of Learning platform can provide participants with a fun and engaging way to develop a range of skills and knowledge.

  4. Cultural awareness and appreciation: The game can be designed to incorporate local history, landmarks, and culture. Participants will learn about the city and its culture, and develop a deeper appreciation for its heritage.
  5. Technological skills: The game will require participants to use technology such as smartphones and QR codes. They will learn how to use these tools effectively and develop their technological skills.


Content of the game:
The storyline will be based on Leucosia, a siren and one of the daughters of Acheloos and Melpomene and its name translates as "White State" or city of White Gods.

Nicosia is internationally known not by its Greek name, but by the Italian-French Nicosia (Nicosie). In ancient times the city was one of the ancient kingdoms of Cyprus. In recent times the name was changed to Kallinikisi and then to Lefkothea, Lefkosia and Nicosia. The Frankish conquerors, for inexplicable reasons, after passing through the area wrote about "Civitas Nicosie" hence the English Nicosia, as the Cypriot capital is known throughout the world.

Through this escape game, you will learn about the Myth of Leucosia and the history of the city of Nicosia.

Completing an outdoor escape game of open badges on the Cities of Learning platform can provide individuals with recognition, skill development, motivation, networking opportunities, and access to additional learning opportunities. It can also serve as a fun and engaging way to learn and explore new environments.
