ONE-to-ONE Virtual Reality Career Counseling

ONE-to-ONE Virtual Reality Career Counseling

This badge recognises young people who have actively explored career pathways through immersive Virtual Reality (VR) career counselling and one-to-one mentoring with experienced professionals.

To earn this badge, the badge earner completed six individual career counselling sessions, using VR platforms such as Horizon Workrooms and/or Immersed to connect with professionals remotely. Throughout the sessions, the learner explored career pathways, gained first-hand insights into professional life, discussed educational and skills requirements, and asked questions related to their career interests and aspirations.

As part of the learning process, the badge earner reflected on their interests, strengths, skills and career goals, assessed the suitability of different career options, and identified areas for further development. They also completed a personal career action plan outlining concrete next steps towards their future career.

The badge demonstrates that the earner can:

Explore and compare different career pathways.
Engage confidently with professionals and ask relevant career-related questions.
Identify the skills, qualifications and requirements associated with a profession.
Reflect on their own interests, strengths and career aspirations.
Use immersive digital technology as a tool for learning and career exploration.
Identify realistic and personalised next steps for their career development.
